Where is the World Heritage List stored?
UNESCO was looking for a system that would allow them to consolidate master data and make it easy to make this data available to their own websites and applications in a smart, fast and consistent way.
Approach
One central place: Strapi
Smartshore Ability and UNESCO chose Strapi as the central place where all master data would be managed.
Strapi is an application that excels in defining data structures, data management and the publication of this through APIs. The Strapi APIs allow the lists and data to be released and integrated into UNESCO’s digital ecosystem.
UNESCO found its way to Smartshore Ability as we are one of the biggest implementation partners for Strapi.

Together with UNESCO, we carried out a successful proof of concept on the basis of Strapi, together developing and documenting a process to import datasets, resulting in the completely satisfactory
importing of three different datasets.
We are now working on importing more datasets, and are now permitted to go a step further and create visual designs for each new dataset and supply twig files on the basis of these. These twig files can then
be picked up by the subordinate UNESCO departments for processing into updated UNESCO websites.
